Tyler and I had met three years ago , We had met through our college which was Robert Morris University. He was a night student and I was a day student. And I messaged him first because he had been liking all my status’s and I finally asked him if I knew him… soon it was off to texting each other and hanging out and watching movies..
Our first date was to Walmart to go get chocolate chip cookies.. when he had asked me to be his girlfriend after a movie he waited until it was over and then leaned over to me and said. do you want to be my girlfriend because I want to be your boyfriend? I just laughed because I thought it was cute.. He asked me to move in a few short months later.. when his lease was up we finally got our own place decided to adopt our two siamese cats..Moose & Ziggler.. Before thanksgiving we had found out we were going to be parents we were excited to tell everyone.. we waited until after thanksgiving to say anything.. what seemed to have been forever we found out we were having a boy, we disagreed on all names until I started calling him Liam… over and over and eventually it stuck Liam Michael.. Is what we named him he was born August 28,2014 at 4:13 am. weighing in at 8lbs and 11oz.
In October that same year I had scheduled family photos with one of my photographer buddies.. and at the end of the session Tyler got down on one knee and said to me do you want to be my wife because I want to be your husband? I couldn’t stop smiling and of course said YES! the unique part in all of this was that my promise ring was the same ring as my engagement ring.. it originally had 4 stones in the center.. however he hand picked a loose diamond and purchased it and had them re do the ring I already had.. he had made the four center stones into one solid stone.. and it means a lot to me that it is truly “one of a kind.” Guys don’t typically buy rings so to me he did a really great job picking it out..
We got married at Erin’s Pavillion south wind park.. and had about 150 people.. We had used Radio Pro Dj’s and Nelsons Catering.. also our other vendors were Noonan’s Grand Rental Station and Party Creations. Everything else I made by hand like our centerpieces and our archway and entry way doors.. and all of the girls’ bouquets.. my bouquet was from Trendsetters and was half real flowers and the other half was fake so that I may keep pieces of it.. It was one heck of a wedding day it had rained all morning and finally stopped around the ceremony time.. we had lost our rings.. but our friends and family were able to give us rings just for the ceremony.. we had already planned to leave for our honeymoon that Sunday morning.. and my mom calls us on the phone.. She was calling to tell us she had found our rings!! I cried I was so happy we thought we would never see them again.. Well our pastor had been on vacation and couldn’t marry us … But he was at church that morning and was able to bless the real rings.. let’s just say that god does work in mysterious ways.. and the best part of that day was that I married my best friend and now my partner as a wedding photographer..
We are a husband and wife team.. and Im glad I can share my photography passion with him and that he enjoy’s second shooting and learning everything I have to teach him about my business. We are truly blessed to have a great family and support system and most of all each other.
